Monthly fees

Fees depend on the program, the schedule and the centre, and on the CCFRI reduction. Autumn gives you the current monthly fee for your child, before and after CCFRI, when you ask.

BC subsidies in plain English

Two BC government programs can lower what you pay. This is a plain-English summary, not eligibility advice; the Province decides who qualifies and how much.

ACCB

Affordable Child Care Benefit

What it is: A monthly benefit from the BC government that helps eligible families pay for child care.
Who decides: The Province, based on things like household income, family size and the type of care.
How to apply: You apply to the Province. Autumn completes the child care provider part of the application.

CCFRI

Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative

What it is: Provincial funding paid to participating child care providers so they can lower the fees parents pay.
Who gets it: Families with eligible children at participating centres. It is applied to your fee; you do not apply separately.
At Autumn: Autumn accepts CCFRI. When you ask about fees, Autumn tells you the fee before and after the reduction.

Subsidy checklist

Check what you may qualify for with the BC estimator (opens in a new tab).
Tell Autumn you plan to apply for ACCB when you confirm a space.
Apply to the Province and keep your case or reference number.
Ask Autumn how the CCFRI reduction shows on your invoice.

Fee questions

Can I use ACCB and CCFRI together?

They are separate programs and many families receive both, but the Province decides eligibility. Check the BC child care funding page (opens in a new tab) or ask Autumn.
